The top five, starting with the highest number of people tested per week, are Bengkalis (995 people), Banjarbaru City (995 people), South Central Timor (992 people), Palu City (979 people), and Kampar (943 people).
Bengkalis ranks first. With a population of 570,570, the number of people tested in the past week was 995 per week. The latest positive rate is 3.02 percent. The positive rate in this region has decreased compared to the previous week's percentage.
Next is Banjarbaru City. The population of this region is 280,110. In an effort to combat the Covid-19 pandemic, the number of people tested last week was 995 per week. The positive rate in this region is 2.31 percent, also down from the previous week's ratio.
Furthermore, the number of Covid-19 tests conducted in South Central Timor last week was 992 per week, in Palu City 979 per week, and in Kampar 943 per week.
In anticipation of the Omicron impact in various regions, based on the national Covid-19 data recapitulation, 112 regencies/cities in Indonesia actively reported a higher number of people tested daily last week than in the previous week.
