East Kalimantan's first dose vaccination coverage reached 90.72 percent on Saturday, August 13, 2022. This figure is equivalent to 2.96 million vaccine recipients out of a target of 3.26 million people. Meanwhile, the second dose vaccination has reached 79.7 percent of the target as of yesterday.
Based on target groups, the details of the vaccination to combat the Covid-19 virus in this province are as follows: the health workforce group with a target of 28,220 recipients. For the first dose, vaccination was successfully carried out for 28,220 people (139.21 percent of the target), and for the second dose, 137.16 percent or 38,700 people were vaccinated.
Vaccination for public officials targeted 284,190 people. The first dose vaccination reportedly reached 287,480 people (101.16 percent of the target), and the second dose reached 95.51 percent, or 271,420 people.
Then, vaccination for the elderly targeted 189,530 people. For the first dose, it was administered to 160,320 people (84.59 percent of the target). For the second dose, only 67.09 percent, or 127,150 people, were vaccinated.
Vaccination for the vulnerable general public targeted 1.97 million people. For the first dose, vaccination was reportedly administered to 1.6 million people (88.65 percent of the target). For the second dose, only 77.9 percent, or 1.39 million people, were vaccinated.
Another target group is adolescents aged 12-17 years. In this region, the target set was 397,460 people. For the first dose, it was administered to 374,420 people (94.2 percent of the target). The second dose reached 84.83 percent, or 337,160 people.
