The highest positive rate in Central Java currently occurred in Wonosobo at 33 percent per week on Monday, January 17, 2022. This figure is five points higher than the positive rate in the second-highest region.
Over the past two weeks, the Covid-19 transmission condition in Wonosobo has not shown improvement. This is indicated by this week's positive rate, which is still higher than the previous week's rate of 0.2 percent per week.
Next in second place is Demak. This region recorded a weekly transmission rate of 28 percent. Compared to two weeks ago, this week's Covid-19 positive rate is still higher, meaning there is no visible improvement.
Also in the top five, besides the two regions mentioned above, are Semarang City, Banyumas, and Blora. Each recorded a weekly positive rate of 27.43 percent, 20 percent, and 20 percent, respectively.
According to the Ministry of Health's list, the next five regencies/cities in the top 10 are Sragen, Surakarta City, Kebumen, and Karanganyar. These regions recorded an average positive rate of over 16 percent per week.
As of yesterday, out of a total of 35 regencies/cities in Central Java, 13 regencies/cities recorded a zero percent positive rate.
Other information from today's daily Covid-19 data statistics is that 138 regencies/cities in Indonesia still recorded a higher positive rate than two weeks ago, and 76 other regencies/cities recorded a lower weekly positive rate than two weeks prior.
Other good news at the regency level is that 300 regions in Indonesia no longer reported new confirmed positive cases.
