Indonesia's COVID-19 cases increased by 30,156 today, bringing the total since the start of the pandemic to 5.72 million as of Saturday, March 5, 2022. The five provinces with the highest increases today are West Java, East Java, DKI Jakarta, Yogyakarta, and Banten.

1. West Java saw an increase of 6,701 cases

West Java ranks first. The increase in cases here was 6,701, a 0.65% increase compared to the previous day's cumulative total of 1.03 million. With this addition, the total number of cases in West Java is now 1.04 million.

In addition to the highest increase in cases, West Java also recorded 28 deaths. The total number of deaths in West Java during the COVID-19 pandemic has reached 15,217. The seven-day positive rate is 16.95%, and the bed occupancy rate (BOR) for COVID-19 hospitals is reported at 38%.

2. East Java saw an increase of 3,654 cases

3. DKI Jakarta saw an increase of 3,059 cases
