The Omicron variant was first reported to the World Health Organization (WHO) from South Africa on November 24, 2021. To date, 77 cases of the Omicron variant have been recorded in that country.
Botswana ranks second with a total of 19 Omicron variant cases. The Netherlands and the United Kingdom each have 14 cases. Portugal follows with 13 cases, and Australia has 6 cases.
