Several districts/cities in West Sumatra Province still record a relatively low level of second-dose vaccination compared to other regions. Some of these districts/cities include Agam Regency, Solok Regency, and the Mentawai Islands Regency.
As of yesterday's vaccination program data, these three regions have only completed 391,590 second doses out of the expected target of 812,350 vaccine recipients.
Agam Regency is ranked first in terms of low vaccination rates. As of yesterday, the second-dose vaccination in this region has only reached 48.01%. This is the lowest compared to the other 19 districts/cities. Meanwhile, the first-dose vaccination has reached 75.2%, or 537,670 vaccine recipients.
The vaccination program in this district/city targets 432,030 participants. According to the Ministry of Health's data, the average weekly vaccination in Agam was 917 participants. The current vaccine stock is 42,207 doses.
Next is Solok Regency. For the second dose, this region has the second-lowest rate. With a target of 311,810 vaccine recipients, only 48.03% or 149,750 recipients have been vaccinated.
The first-dose vaccination has reached 81.26%, or 406,370 vaccine recipients. According to the Ministry of Health's data, the average weekly vaccination in Solok was 839 participants. The current vaccine stock is 32,616 doses.
The Mentawai Islands Regency is ranked third. With a target of 68,511 vaccine recipients, 50.22% or 34,404 recipients have received the second dose. According to the Ministry of Health's data, the average weekly vaccination in the Mentawai Islands was 118 participants. The current vaccine stock is 40,512 doses.
At the provincial level, the total first-dose vaccination in West Sumatra has reached 89.73%, or 3.96 million vaccine recipients. The second-dose vaccination has reached 63.76%, covering 2.81 million vaccine recipients.
