Several districts/cities in Central Kalimantan province still record quite low vaccination rates compared to other areas. Some of these districts/cities include Kapuas Regency, Katingan Regency, and North Barito Regency.
As of Tuesday, October 5, 2021, these three regencies had only completed 130,470 doses of the first vaccine shot out of the targeted 560,510 vaccine recipients.
Kapuas Regency is ranked first in terms of low vaccination rates. As of yesterday, this region has only recorded 20.61% vaccination. This is the lowest compared to the other 14 districts/cities. The vaccination program in this regency targets 320,760 participants. The average weekly vaccination rate in this area last week was 965 participants. The available vaccine stock is 36,460 doses.
Next is Katingan Regency, ranked second lowest. With a vaccination target of 120,640 participants, only 26.79% or 32,321 participants have been vaccinated. The average weekly vaccination rate in this area last week was 511 participants. The available vaccine stock is 6,018 doses.
Following is North Barito Regency, ranked third lowest. With a vaccination target of 119,110 participants, only 26.92% or 32,058 participants have been vaccinated. The average weekly vaccination rate in this area last week was 397 participants. The available vaccine stock is 6,172 doses.
At the provincial level, the total first dose vaccination in Central Kalimantan has reached 38.23%, covering 778,430 vaccine recipients. The second dose vaccination has reached 23.15%, covering 471,380 vaccine recipients.
