A Ministry of Health report shows that as of 6 PM on Tuesday, November 2, 2021, 75,217,214 people in Indonesia had received two doses of the Covid-19 coronavirus vaccine. This number is equivalent to 61.97% of the total number of people who received the first dose, which was 121,365,081.
The group that received the most Covid-19 vaccines was public officials. A total of 28,078,817 people, or 162.05% of the target, received the first dose. Of that number, 22,990,111 people, or 132.68% of the target, have received the second dose.
Next, 76,952,078 vulnerable and general members of the public received the first dose, or 54.49% of the target. Of these, 40,422,397 people, or 28.63% of the target, also received the second dose of the coronavirus vaccine.
The elderly group is also a priority of the government's vaccination program. The number of elderly people who have received the Covid-19 vaccine is 8,723,505 for the first dose and 5,393,636 for the second dose. These numbers represent 40.47% and 25.02% of the target, respectively.
Children aged 12-17 who have received the first dose only reached 4,400,884, or 16.48% of the target. Of that number, only 3,474,733, or 13.01% of the target, received the second dose.
Meanwhile, health workers who have received the vaccine number 2,015,385 for the first dose, 1,898,564 for the second dose, and 1,144,110 for the third dose. These numbers represent 137.22%, 129.26%, and 77.90% of the target, respectively.
In the gotong royong (community assistance) scheme, the number of people who have received the vaccine is 1,185,330 for the first dose and 1,036,079 for the second dose. These numbers represent 7.90% and 6.91% of the target, respectively.
Although vaccination is underway, the public is urged to remain disciplined in implementing the 3M health protocols: wearing masks, maintaining distance, and washing hands with soap. This is important to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
