The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 68 regencies/cities with weekly inpatient utilization above the national average, currently recorded at 1.68 patients per 100,000 population/week, data as of Saturday, August 13, 2022.
The five regencies/cities with the highest inpatient utilization, exceeding 5.37 patients per 100,000 population/week, are Palangkaraya City, Tegal City, Sorong City, Jayapura City, and Tabalong Regency, with respective values of 10.14 patients per 100,000 population/week, 8.8 patients per 100,000 population/week, 7.29 patients per 100,000 population/week, 5.81 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 5.37 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
National Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows that inpatient utilization in most regencies/cities outside Java has decreased. A higher than previous daily inpatient utilization was recorded in 20 regencies/cities, while 33 regencies/cities recorded lower inpatient utilization.
Areas outside Java with the highest inpatient utilization include Palangkaraya City, Sorong City, and Jayapura City, with inpatient utilization rates of 10.14 patients per 100,000 population/week, 7.29 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 5.81 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
