The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 43 regencies/cities with an agglomeration death rate due to Covid-19 above the national average, currently recorded at 0.01 per 100,000 population per week, data as of Sunday, February 12, 2023.
The five cities with the highest agglomeration death rate due to Covid-19, exceeding 0.28 per 100,000 population per week, are Salatiga, Banda Aceh, Palangkaraya, Bangka, and Maros, with respective rates of 0.49, 0.35, 0.33, 0.29, and 0.28 per 100,000 population per week.
The national Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in the agglomeration death rate due to Covid-19 in most regencies/cities outside Java. A daily increase in the agglomeration death rate due to Covid-19, higher than previous figures, was recorded in one regency/city.
Areas outside Java with the highest agglomeration death rate due to Covid-19 include Banda Aceh, Palangkaraya, and Bangka, with respective rates of 0.35, 0.33, and 0.29 per 100,000 population per week.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distancing, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
