The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 40 districts/cities with an agglomeration death rate due to COVID-19 exceeding the national average, currently recorded at 0.01 per 100,000 population per week, data as of Wednesday, July 13, 2022.
The five districts/cities with the highest agglomeration death rate due to COVID-19, exceeding 0.21 per 100,000 population per week, are Binjai City, Sikka, Tanah Laut, Pasaman Barat, and Ambon City, with respective rates of 0.35, 0.31, 0.28, 0.21, and 0.21 per 100,000 population per week.
A recapitulation of national COVID-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in the agglomeration death rate due to COVID-19 in most districts/cities outside Java. Four districts/cities recorded a higher daily agglomeration death rate due to COVID-19 than previously recorded.
Areas outside Java with the highest agglomeration death rate due to COVID-19 include Binjai City, Sikka, and Tanah Laut, with respective rates of 0.35, 0.31, and 0.28 per 100,000 population per week.
Although COVID-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce COVID-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
