The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 152 districts/cities with a seven-day aglomeration positivity rate above the national average, currently recorded at 2.79 percent (data as of Tuesday, August 2, 2022).
The top five districts/cities with a seven-day positivity rate exceeding 19.07 percent are Kapuas, Barito Timur, Pulang Pisau, Banjar, and Palangkaraya City, with values of 31 percent, 21.67 percent, 21.31 percent, 19.17 percent, and 19.07 percent, respectively.
A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in the seven-day positivity rate in most districts/cities outside Java. A daily seven-day positivity rate higher than the previous day was recorded in 147 districts/cities, while 38 districts/cities recorded a lower seven-day positivity rate.
Areas outside Java with the highest seven-day positivity rates include Kapuas, Barito Timur, and Pulang Pisau, with seven-day positivity rates of 31 percent, 21.67 percent, and 21.31 percent, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
