This testing achievement data is calculated based on the number of people tested compared to each region's weekly target, which is then reported to the Ministry of Health.
The top five, starting from the highest, are Fakfak, Teluk Wondama, Tarakan City, Manokwari, and Jayapura City, with ratios of 967.86 percent, 940 percent, 912.41 percent, 911.43 percent, and 857.47 percent, respectively.
Fakfak ranks first. With a population of 82,512, the weekly testing percentage here was recorded at 967.86 percent. The latest positive rate is 0.49 percent. The positive rate in this region has decreased compared to the previous week's ratio.
Next is Teluk Wondama. The population in this region is recorded at 34,898. In an effort to prevent the Covid-19 pandemic, the weekly testing percentage was 940 percent. The positive rate in this region is recorded at 0.3 percent, which has also decreased compared to the previous week's percentage.
Then, Tarakan City recorded 912.41 percent in testing, Manokwari recorded 911.43 percent in weekly testing percentage, and Jayapura City, with a population of 309,760, recorded 857.47 percent in weekly testing percentage.
In anticipation of the Omicron impact in various regions, based on the national Covid-19 data recapitulation, there are 148 regencies/cities in Indonesia that actively report higher daily weekly testing percentages than before. Meanwhile, 234 other regencies/cities recorded lower weekly testing percentages compared to the previous week.
Some of the regions outside Java with the highest weekly testing percentage ratios include Fakfak, Teluk Wondama, and Tarakan City, with weekly testing percentages of 967.86 percent, 940 percent, and 912.41 percent, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to continue to participate in reducing Covid-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
