Several districts/cities in Banten province still record relatively low second-dose vaccination rates compared to other areas. Some of these districts/cities include Serang Regency, Lebak Regency, and Pandeglang Regency.
As of yesterday's data, these three regencies have only completed 2.05 million second doses out of the expected target of 3.31 million vaccine recipients in their vaccination program.
Serang Regency is ranked first in terms of low vaccination rates. As of yesterday, the second-dose vaccination rate in this region has reached 59.4 percent, the lowest among the eight other districts/cities. The first-dose vaccination rate, however, has reached 90.53 percent, or 2.04 million vaccine recipients.
This vaccination program targets 1.26 million participants. According to the Ministry of Health's data, the average weekly vaccination rate in Serang last week was 11,720 recipients. Currently, the available vaccine stock is 96,830 doses.
Next is Lebak Regency. For the second dose, this region has the second-lowest rate. With a target of 1.07 million vaccine recipients, 61.31 percent, or 652,950 recipients, have been vaccinated.
The first-dose vaccination rate has reached 79.58 percent, or 1.55 million vaccine recipients. According to the Ministry of Health's data, the average weekly vaccination rate in Lebak last week was 2,360 recipients. The remaining vaccine stock is currently 138,790 doses.
Pandeglang Regency is ranked third. With a target of 982,500 vaccine recipients, 65.71 percent, or 645,560 recipients, have received the second dose. According to the Ministry of Health's data, the average weekly vaccination rate in Pandeglang last week was 2,710 recipients. The remaining vaccine stock is currently 130,170 doses.
At the provincial level, the total first-dose vaccination rate in Banten has reached 93.74 percent, or 8.65 million vaccine recipients. The second-dose vaccination rate has reached 74.47 percent, covering 6.87 million vaccine recipients.
