The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 39 regencies/cities with an agglomeration death rate due to Covid-19 above the national average, currently recorded at 0.01 per 100,000 population per week, data as of Friday, June 3, 2022.
The top five regencies/cities with agglomeration death rates due to Covid-19 exceeding 0.29 per 100,000 population per week are Kepulauan Sangihe (0.76 per 100,000 population per week), Rejang Lebong (0.36 per 100,000 population per week), Ende (0.36 per 100,000 population per week), Manggarai Barat (0.34 per 100,000 population per week), and Tasikmalaya City (0.29 per 100,000 population per week).
A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows that the agglomeration death rate due to Covid-19 in most regencies/cities outside Java has decreased. One regency/city recorded a higher daily agglomeration death rate due to Covid-19 than before, while one regency/city recorded a lower rate.
Areas outside Java with the highest agglomeration death rates due to Covid-19 include Kepulauan Sangihe (0.76 per 100,000 population per week), Rejang Lebong (0.36 per 100,000 population per week), and Ende (0.36 per 100,000 population per week).
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
