Indonesia's men's national volleyball team has risen in the world and Asian rankings thanks to the AVC Challenge Cup 2023 in Taiwan.
According to data from the Fédération Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB), the Indonesian men's national volleyball team is ranked 66th in the world and 15th in Asia.
As of July 12, 2023, the "Red and White" team had accumulated 41.34 points. Indonesia's ranking saw a significant boost thanks to the additional points earned from two wins in the AVC Challenge Cup 2023 preliminary round.
Indonesia defeated Sri Lanka on July 6, 2023, with a score of 3-1, and overcame Bahrain with a score of 3-2 on July 10, 2023.
This victory was Indonesia's first against Bahrain in four matches. So far, Rivan Nurmulki and his teammates top Pool F of the AVC Challenge Cup 2023.
The "Red and White" team will next face Kazakhstan in the top 12 round at the University of Taipei, Taiwan, on Wednesday, July 12, 2023.
At the top of the Asian men's national volleyball team rankings is Japan, with 315.19 points. This is followed by Iran and Qatar with 241.05 points and 151.70 points respectively.
