Several districts/cities in West Sumatra province still record relatively low vaccination rates compared to other areas. Some of these districts/cities include Padang Pariaman Regency, Agam Regency, and Tanah Datar Regency.
As of Wednesday, February 2, 2022, these three regencies had only completed 742,180 doses of the first vaccine shot out of the targeted 1.08 million vaccine recipients.
Padang Pariaman Regency is ranked first in terms of low vaccination rates. As of yesterday, this region has completed 66.23% of its vaccination program, the lowest among the 19 other districts/cities. The vaccination program in this regency targets 342,590 recipients. The average weekly vaccination rate in this region last week was 2,799 recipients. The remaining vaccine stock is currently 43,914 doses.
Next is Agam Regency, ranked second lowest. With a vaccination target of 432,030 recipients, vaccination in this region has reached 69.59%, or 300,630 recipients. The average weekly vaccination rate last week was 2,577 recipients. The available vaccine stock is 48,704 doses.
Tanah Datar Regency is ranked third. With a vaccination target of 306,330 recipients, vaccination in this region has reached 70.07%, or 214,640 recipients. The average weekly vaccination rate last week was 2,598 recipients. The available vaccine stock is 50,341 doses.
At the provincial level, the total first dose vaccination in West Sumatra has reached 78.89%, covering 3.48 million vaccine recipients. The second dose vaccination has reached 48.81%, covering 2.15 million vaccine recipients.
