Survey: One-third of Jakarta Residents Still Face Difficulties Accessing COVID-19 Vaccination

A survey by Lapor Covid-19 reveals that approximately one-third of Jakarta residents still face difficulties accessing the coronavirus vaccine. This is despite the fact that they reported no difficulty in obtaining information or understanding the procedures related to the vaccination program.

Specifically, 3% of respondents strongly agreed that they had difficulty accessing the vaccine, while 18% agreed.

Furthermore, 8% of respondents were unsure whether they experienced difficulties accessing the vaccine. 60% disagreed with the statement that accessing the vaccine was difficult, and 11% strongly disagreed.

Based on these findings, Lapor Covid-19 urges the government to improve access to the coronavirus vaccination services. They also call for intensified education and public awareness campaigns regarding the program.

The Lapor Covid-19 survey was conducted in collaboration with the Social and Crisis Intervention Lab, Faculty of Psychology, Universitas Indonesia, Social Resilience Lab, and Nanyang Technological University from April 30th to May 15th, 2021. The survey involved 57,231 respondents across Jakarta, with 47,547 completing and validating their responses.
