Canada ranks first, with a weekly increase in deaths of 86.09 percent. Worldometer recorded 281 deaths in the country, an increase compared to the previous week's reported 151 deaths.
Trinidad and Tobago follows with a weekly growth in deaths of 53.85 percent. Yesterday's daily death toll in the country was 20. Brazil recorded 508 deaths (up 13.39%), Paraguay saw a 13.33% increase in deaths, and the United States saw a 2.85% increase.
Looking at the number of reported deaths, the highest seven-day death toll in the Americas occurred in the United States, with 1,771 deaths. This represents a 2.85% increase compared to the previous week. Following this, Brazil recorded 508 deaths (up 13.39%), Canada 281 deaths (up 86.09%), Peru 184 deaths (down 6.6%), and Chile 147 deaths (down 15.03%).
The total deaths in the Americas over the past seven days were 3,165. This accounts for 32.62 percent of global Covid-19 deaths, totaling 9,703. The death toll in the Americas increased compared to the previous seven-day accumulation of 3,115 deaths.
