The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 88 regencies/cities with an agglomeration death rate due to COVID-19 above the national average, currently recorded at 0.04 per 100,000 population per week, data as of Thursday, September 15, 2022.
The five regencies/cities with the highest agglomeration death rate due to COVID-19, exceeding 0.73 per 100,000 population per week, are Tomohon City (1.81 per 100,000 population per week), Pariaman City (1.08 per 100,000 population per week), Talaud Islands (1.07 per 100,000 population per week), Soppeng (0.87 per 100,000 population per week), and Selayar Islands (0.73 per 100,000 population per week).
A recapitulation of national COVID-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in the agglomeration death rate due to COVID-19 in most regencies/cities outside Java. Thirteen regencies/cities recorded a higher daily agglomeration death rate due to COVID-19 than previously, while three regencies/cities recorded a lower rate.
Areas outside Java with the highest agglomeration death rate due to COVID-19 include Tomohon City (1.81 per 100,000 population per week), Pariaman City (1.08 per 100,000 population per week), and Talaud Islands (1.07 per 100,000 population per week).
Although COVID-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
