The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) notes that at least three regencies/cities have a weekly BOR above 60%. Nationally, the average BOR this week is 9.15 percent. This is down from 9.24 percent last week, according to data from Thursday, December 1, 2022.
The top five regencies/cities with the highest COVID-19 BOR, exceeding 56.4 percent, are Fakfak, East Belitung, Tulang Bawang, Tasikmalaya, and Batang, with values of 100 percent, 71.43 percent, 61.26 percent, 59.52 percent, and 56.4 percent respectively.
A national COVID-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows that the BOR in most regencies/cities outside Java has decreased. A daily BOR higher than the previous day was recorded in 79 regencies/cities, while 101 regencies/cities recorded a lower BOR.
Some of the areas outside Java with the highest BOR include Fakfak, East Belitung, and Tulang Bawang, with BORs of 100 percent, 71.43 percent, and 61.26 percent respectively.
Although COVID-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce COVID-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
