Average Schooling Duration of Hulu Sungai Selatan Regency Residents Still Below National Average

The average schooling duration (RLS) of residents aged 25 and over in Hulu Sungai Selatan, South Kalimantan was 8.18 years in 2025.

Based on data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), the RLS of residents in this region was below the South Kalimantan provincial average of 8.81 years in 2025.

The RLS of Hulu Sungai Selatan residents increased by 0.09 years (1.11%) compared to the previous year, which was 8.09 years. Meanwhile, over the last five years, the RLS has increased by 0.43 years (5.55%).

This RLS indicates that the average Hulu Sungai Selatan resident only attended school up to the 8th grade level. However, this RLS is still below the national average RLS of 9.07 years in 2025.
