The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 59 regencies/cities with weekly agglomeration inpatient utilization above the national average, currently recorded at 1.83 patients per 100,000 population/week, data as of Thursday, August 4, 2022.
The five top regencies/cities with inpatient utilization exceeding 6.4 patients per 100,000 population/week are Palangkaraya City, Pulang Pisau, Barito Selatan, Banjar, and Tegal City, with respective values of 15.21 patients per 100,000 population/week, 10.1 patients per 100,000 population/week, 9.97 patients per 100,000 population/week, 9.15 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 6.4 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
A recapitulation of national Covid data from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in inpatient utilization in most regencies/cities outside Java. Daily inpatient utilization higher than before was recorded in 32 regencies/cities, while 17 regencies/cities recorded lower inpatient utilization.
Areas outside Java with the highest inpatient utilization include Palangkaraya City, Pulang Pisau, and Barito Selatan, with inpatient utilization of 15.21 patients per 100,000 population/week, 10.1 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 9.97 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
