As of Saturday, April 30, 2022, the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination coverage in Papua Province reached 33.28 percent. This equates to 859,950 vaccine recipients out of a target of 2.58 million people. The second dose vaccination coverage reached 24.74 percent of the target.
Based on target groups, the vaccination details to combat the COVID-19 virus in this province are as follows: The health workforce group had a target of 19,530 recipients. For the first dose, vaccination was successfully administered to 19,530 individuals (100.74 percent of the target), and for the second dose, 94.73 percent or 18,500 individuals were vaccinated.
For public officials, the target was 289,920 individuals. The first dose vaccination reached 154,140 individuals (53.17 percent of the target), and the second dose reached 45.64 percent, or 132,310 individuals.
For the elderly, the target was 177,360 individuals. The first dose was administered to 27,100 individuals (15.28 percent of the target). The second dose reached 11.43 percent, or 20,270 individuals.
For the vulnerable general public, the target was 1.69 million individuals. The first dose vaccination was administered to 502,410 individuals (30.48 percent of the target). The second dose reached 21.79 percent, or 355,980 individuals.
For adolescents aged 12-17 years, the target was 407,850 individuals. The first dose was administered to 101,910 individuals (24.99 percent of the target). The second dose reached 18.08 percent, or 73,720 individuals.
