The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 39 regencies/cities with weekly hospital inpatient use above the national average, currently recorded at 0.56 patients per 100,000 population/week, data as of Monday, March 27, 2023.
The five top regencies/cities with inpatient use exceeding 1.72 patients per 100,000 population/week are Central Jakarta, Yogyakarta City, Sleman Regency, Malang City, and South Jakarta, with respective values of 4.16 patients per 100,000 population/week, 3.73 patients per 100,000 population/week, 2.15 patients per 100,000 population/week, 1.91 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 1.72 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
A recapitulation of national Covid data from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in inpatient use in most regencies/cities outside Java. Six regencies/cities recorded higher daily inpatient use than previously, while four regencies/cities recorded lower inpatient use.
Some of the areas outside Java with the highest inpatient use include Pontianak City, Bangka Regency, and Palangkaraya City, with inpatient use of 1.19 patients per 100,000 population/week, 1.16 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 1 patient per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
