As of Sunday, October 24, 2021, South Sulawesi Province has achieved 38% coverage for the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. This equates to 2.68 million vaccine recipients out of a target of 7.06 million people. The second dose vaccination has reached 24.68% of the target.

By target group, the vaccination details to combat the COVID-19 virus in this province are as follows: The health workforce target was 58,860 recipients. For the first dose, 58,860 people were vaccinated (124% of the target), and for the second dose, 115.61% or 68,050 people were vaccinated.

For public officials, the target was 694,480 people. The first dose vaccination reached 718,730 people (103.49% of the target), and the second dose reached 85.67% or 594,920 people.

For the elderly, the target was 753,920 people. The first dose was administered to 130,470 people (17.31% of the target). The second dose reached 11.42% or 86,110 people.

For the vulnerable general public, the target was 4.57 million people. The first dose was administered to 1.45 million people (32.01% of the target). The second dose reached 17.33% or 780,130 people.

For adolescents aged 12-17 years, the target was 978,890 people. The first dose was administered to 296,090 people (30.25% of the target). The second dose reached 20.48% or 200,460 people.
