Survey Indicator: Majority of Residents Fear Omicron Infection

The Indonesian Political Indicator Survey shows that not all Indonesian citizens are aware of the transmission of the Covid-19 Omicron variant.

According to the survey results, 86.3% of respondents were aware of the Omicron variant, while 13.7% were not.

Of the respondents who were aware of the Omicron variant, 3.9% were not worried about contracting it. This breaks down to 2.2% who were not worried and 1.7% who were not worried at all.

However, the majority were still afraid of contracting the Omicron variant. 41% were somewhat worried and 25.8% were very worried.

Meanwhile, 28.5% of respondents felt "indifferent" if they contracted it. Furthermore, 0.8% of respondents did not know or did not answer.

The survey was conducted from January 15 to February 17, 2022. 626 respondents participated, completing an online questionnaire. The margin of error of the survey is approximately 4% with a 95% confidence level.
