At that time, Palu's air quality was categorized as good, meaning the level of pollutants in the air was very minimal. Ambon was ranked second with an air quality index of 38. Mamuju followed in third place with an air quality index of 39.

* 201-300: Very Unhealthy
* 300+: Hazardous
This means that on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at 3:00 PM WIB, cities with good air quality were Palu, Ambon, Mamuju, Banda Aceh, and Manokwari. The other five cities—Sanggau, Indragiri Hilir, Kendari, Yogyakarta, and Jambi—had moderate air quality.
