The top five, starting from the highest, are Tulungagung, Tanah Bumbu, Ciamis, Palu City, and Magelang, with weekly specimen numbers of 968, 957, 939, 931, and 893, respectively.
Tulungagung ranks first, with 968 specimens examined per week. The latest positive rate is 0.97 percent, an increase from the previous week.
Next is Tanah Bumbu, with a population of 407,700. In efforts to combat the Covid-19 pandemic, 957 specimens were examined per week. The positive rate in this region is 0 percent, a decrease from the previous week.
Following this, Ciamis recorded 939 specimens per week, Palu City 931 specimens per week, and Magelang 893 specimens per week.
In anticipation of the Omicron impact in various regions, based on the national Covid-19 data recapitulation, 151 regencies/cities in Indonesia actively reported a higher number of daily specimen examinations than before. Meanwhile, 174 other regencies/cities recorded a lower number of specimens examined compared to the previous week.
Regions outside Java with the highest number of specimens examined include Tanah Bumbu, Palu City, and East Lombok, with 957, 931, and 836 specimens, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to continue reducing Covid-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
