In terms of percentage increase, the top five countries with the highest increase in deaths are Peru, Paraguay, Argentina, Colombia, and the United States. The total deaths in these five countries as of Friday, November 4, 2022, amounted to 2,107, with a weekly growth exceeding 27.55 percent.
Peru recorded the highest increase in COVID-19 deaths in the Americas, with weekly growth reaching 1,557.14 percent. Worldometer recorded 116 deaths in the country, a 10.08 percent increase compared to the previous day.
Next is Paraguay, which recorded 50 percent more deaths compared to the previous week. The number of deaths in this country was reported as three, higher than the two recorded the previous week. Argentina recorded 12 deaths (up 33.33%), Colombia saw a 30% increase in deaths, and the United States recorded 1,963 deaths (up 27.55%).

The total number of deaths in the Americas over the past seven days was 2,676. This accounts for 35.99 percent of global deaths caused by the COVID-19 virus, totaling 7,435. The number of deaths in the Americas increased compared to the previous seven-day accumulation of 2,334 deaths.
