Top 10 Regencies/Cities with the Highest National Tracing Rates (Friday, May 27, 2022)

The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 84 regencies/cities with weekly tracing rates above the national average, currently recorded at 2.31 percent as of Friday, May 27, 2022.

The top five regencies/cities with rates exceeding 23.5 percent are West Lombok (41 percent), Cianjur (32 percent), Batu Bara (30 percent), Semarang City (25 percent), and Simalungun (23.5 percent).

A national Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows that tracing in most regencies/cities outside Java has decreased. Nine regencies/cities recorded higher daily tracing rates than before, while 11 regencies/cities recorded lower rates.

Some of the areas outside Java with the highest tracing rates include West Lombok (41 percent), Batu Bara (30 percent), and Simalungun (23.5 percent).

Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
