The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 45 districts/cities with weekly agglomeration tracing above the national average, currently recorded at one percent as of Saturday, January 21, 2023.
The top five districts/cities with figures exceeding 19 percent are Jember, Banyumas, Malang City, Gresik, and Surabaya City, with values of 22 percent, 20 percent, 20 percent, 19 percent, and 19 percent respectively.
A recapitulation of national Covid data from the Ministry of Health shows that tracing in most districts/cities outside Java has decreased. Daily tracing figures higher than before were recorded in five districts/cities, while five other districts/cities recorded lower tracing figures.
Some of the areas outside Java with the highest tracing values include Balikpapan City, Samosir, and Pematangsiantar City, each with 15 percent tracing.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
