The highest increase in confirmed positive Covid-19 cases in NTT currently occurred in Central Sumba, with 16.08 cases per 100,000 population per week as of Tuesday, October 5, 2021. This figure is one case higher than the second-highest region.
Over the past week, the Covid-19 transmission situation in Central Sumba has not shown improvement. This is indicated by the number of cases this week, which is still higher than the previous week's figure of 12.06 cases per 100,000 population per week.
Kupang City is in second place, recording 15.28 weekly confirmed cases per 100,000 population. Compared to last week's 17.89 cases, the number of confirmed Covid-19 cases this week is lower.
Rounding out the top five are Lembata, Belu, and North Central Timor, recording weekly confirmation rates of 13.47 cases, 12.8 cases, and nine cases, respectively.
According to the Ministry of Health's list, the next five regencies/cities in the top 10 are Sabu Raijua, Rote Ndao, West Manggarai, and South Central Timor. These regions recorded an average increase of more than five cases per 100,000 population.
Other information from today's daily Covid-19 data statistics shows that 113 regencies/cities in Indonesia recorded a higher increase compared to last week, and 356 other regencies/cities recorded lower weekly confirmations than the previous week.
