Several districts/cities in Central Java province still record relatively low vaccination rates compared to other regions. Some of these districts/cities include Pemalang Regency, Tegal Regency, and Brebes Regency.
As of Saturday, January 29, 2022, these three regencies had only completed 2.77 million doses of the first vaccine shot out of the expected target of 3.91 million vaccine recipients.
Pemalang Regency is ranked first in terms of low vaccination rates. As of yesterday, this region has completed 70.5% of its vaccination program, the lowest among the other 35 districts/cities. The vaccination program in this regency targets 1.15 million participants. The average vaccination rate last week was 6,262 participants. The remaining vaccine stock is currently recorded at 156,510 doses.
Next is Tegal Regency, ranked second lowest. With a vaccination target of 1.23 million participants, vaccination in this region has reached 70.8%, or 868,650 participants. The average vaccination rate last week was 6,349 participants. The available vaccine stock is 99,052 doses.
Brebes Regency is ranked third. With a vaccination target of 1.54 million participants, vaccination in this region has reached 71.1%, or 1.09 million participants. The average vaccination rate last week was 7,115 participants. The available vaccine stock is 110,920 doses.
At the provincial level, the total first dose vaccination in Central Java has reached 88.36%, covering 25.38 million vaccine recipients. The second dose vaccination has reached 66.49%, covering 19.1 million vaccine recipients.
