The top five, starting from the highest, are Balikpapan City, Teluk Wondama, Gunungsitoli City, North Bengkulu, and Purwakarta, with ratios of 482.76 percent, 428.57 percent, 289.12 percent, 252.27 percent, and 245.99 percent, respectively.
Balikpapan City ranks first. With a population of 646,020, the weekly testing percentage is recorded at 482.76 percent. The latest positive rate is 0.35 percent. The positive rate in this region has decreased compared to the previous week's ratio.
Next is Teluk Wondama. The population of this region is recorded at 34,898. In an effort to prevent the Covid-19 pandemic, the weekly testing percentage is 428.57 percent. The positive rate in this region is recorded at 0 percent, having decreased compared to the previous week's ratio.
Furthermore, Gunungsitoli City recorded 289.12 percent testing; North Bengkulu, with a population of 310,070, recorded 252.27 percent weekly testing; and Purwakarta recorded 245.99 percent.
In anticipation of the Omicron impact in various regions, based on the national Covid-19 data recapitulation, there are 183 regencies/cities in Indonesia actively reporting higher daily weekly testing percentages than before. Meanwhile, 183 other regencies/cities recorded lower weekly testing percentages compared to the previous week.
Some of the regions outside Java with the highest weekly testing percentage ratios include Balikpapan City, Teluk Wondama, and Gunungsitoli City, with weekly testing percentages of 482.76 percent, 428.57 percent, and 289.12 percent, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to continue reducing Covid-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
