The COVID-19 Task Force reported that Indonesia remained free from red zones for the coronavirus from October 4-10, 2021. This means that there have been four weeks without any areas with a high level of coronavirus risk in the country since September 13, 2021.
However, the number of districts/cities in the orange zone increased by one in the last week. As a result, there are three districts/cities with a moderate level of coronavirus risk.
Meanwhile, the number of districts/cities in the yellow zone decreased by two to 506 areas from October 4-10, 2021. The previous week, there were 508 districts/cities in the yellow zone.
The number of districts/cities in the green zone (due to having no new cases) increased by one to five areas. Meanwhile, no districts/cities in Indonesia are in the green zone due to being unaffected by the coronavirus.
The increase in areas in the orange zone indicates that coronavirus transmission is still occurring in Indonesia. Therefore, the public must not be complacent in preventing coronavirus.
The government continues to urge the public to diligently implement the 3M health protocols: wearing masks, maintaining distance, and washing hands with soap. In addition, the public is urged to avoid crowds and reduce mobility.
