The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 155 districts/cities with a weekly BOR above the national average, currently recorded at 3.91 percent (data as of Sunday, August 14, 2022).
The top five districts/cities with the highest COVID-19 BOR exceeding 33.33 percent are Tasikmalaya, Tanah Bumbu, Banjarbaru City, Manggarai Timur, and Balangan, with values of 53.57 percent, 52.94 percent, 39.66 percent, 37.5 percent, and 33.33 percent respectively.
A national COVID-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in the BOR of most districts/cities outside Java. A daily BOR higher than before was recorded in 77 districts/cities, while 55 districts/cities recorded a lower BOR.
Areas outside Java with the highest BOR include Tanah Bumbu, Banjarbaru City, and Manggarai Timur, with BORs of 52.94 percent, 39.66 percent, and 37.5 percent respectively.
Although COVID-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce COVID-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
