The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) notes that at least two regencies/cities have a weekly BOR above 60%. Nationally, the average BOR this week is 4.37 percent. This is down from last week's 5.69 percent, based on data from Thursday, December 29, 2022.
The top five regencies/cities with the highest COVID-19 BOR, exceeding 52.04 percent, are Fakfak, Tulang Bawang, Kutai Barat, Muna, and Bima, with values of 100 percent, 64.71 percent, 55.46 percent, 52.5 percent, and 52.04 percent respectively.
A national COVID-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows that the BOR in most regencies/cities outside Java has decreased. A daily BOR higher than the previous day was recorded in 31 regencies/cities, while 92 regencies/cities recorded a lower BOR.
Areas outside Java with the highest BOR include Fakfak, Tulang Bawang, and Kutai Barat, with BORs of 100 percent, 64.71 percent, and 55.46 percent respectively.
Although COVID-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce COVID-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
