Today's COVID-19 Provincial Data Update: Jakarta Records Highest Increase (Wednesday, May 11, 2022)

Indonesia today recorded an additional 400 Covid-19 cases, bringing the total number of cases since the start of the pandemic to 6.05 million as of Wednesday, May 11, 2022. The five provinces with the highest number of new cases today are DKI Jakarta, West Java, East Java, Bali, and Banten.

The following is a breakdown of the highest Covid-19 case increases by province today

1. DKI Jakarta recorded an additional 129 cases

DKI Jakarta ranks first. The increase in cases here was 129, or a 0.01% increase compared to the previous day's cumulative total, which reached 1.25 million. With this addition, the total number of cases in DKI Jakarta is now 1.25 million.

In addition to the highest increase in cases, DKI Jakarta also recorded one death. Thus, the total number of deaths in DKI Jakarta during the Covid-19 pandemic has reached 15,277. The seven-day positive rate in DKI Jakarta is 0.65%, while the Covid-19 hospital bed occupancy rate (BOR) is reported at 1.86%.

2. West Java recorded an additional 64 cases

Next is West Java. The increase in Covid-19 cases here was 64. The seven-day positive rate in this region is 0.24%. In an effort to combat the Covid-19 pandemic, the number of people tested for Covid-19 in this province is recorded at 89.11 per week.
3. East Java recorded an additional 47 cases

Third is East Java. In this province, the increase in cases today was 47, or a 0.01% increase compared to the previous day's cumulative total of 575,720. The seven-day positive rate in East Java is 0.21%, while the Covid-19 hospital bed occupancy rate (BOR) is reported at 1.39%.
4. Bali recorded an additional 31 cases

With this addition, the total number of cases in this province is now 157,320. The seven-day positive rate in Bali is 0.52%, while the Covid-19 hospital bed occupancy rate (BOR) is reported at 1.87%.
5. Banten recorded an additional 26 cases

With this addition, the total number of cases in this province is now 292,630. The trend of case development in this region over the past week has increased. 6. Central Java recorded an additional 26 cases

7. East Kalimantan recorded an additional 18 cases

8. West Kalimantan recorded an additional eight cases
