Several districts/cities in West Sulawesi province still record relatively low vaccination rates compared to other regions. Some of these districts/cities include Mamasa Regency, Central Mamuju Regency, and Polewali Mandar Regency.
As of Thursday, January 27, 2022, these three regencies had only completed 422,580 doses of the first vaccine shot out of the expected target of 602,260 vaccine recipients.
Mamasa Regency is ranked first in terms of low vaccination rates. As of yesterday, this region has completed 69.4% of its vaccination program. This is the lowest rate compared to the other six districts/cities. The vaccination program in this regency targets 128,960 participants. The average weekly vaccination rate in this region last week was 798 participants. The available vaccine stock is 30,450 doses.
Next is Central Mamuju Regency, which has the second-lowest vaccination rate. With a vaccination target of 103,240 participants, this region has achieved 70.4% vaccination coverage, or 72,708 participants. The average weekly vaccination rate last week was 460 participants. The available vaccine stock is 14,874 doses.
Polewali Mandar Regency is ranked third. With a vaccination target of 370,050 participants, this region has achieved 70.4% vaccination coverage, or 260,340 participants. The average weekly vaccination rate last week was 4,432 participants. The available vaccine stock is 99,583 doses.
At the provincial level, the total first dose vaccination in West Sulawesi has reached 86%, covering 4.16 million vaccine recipients. The second dose vaccination has reached 55.51%, covering 2.69 million vaccine recipients.
