Top 10 Regencies/Cities with the Highest National Elderly Vaccination Rates (Wednesday, January 11, 2023)

The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) notes that 280 regencies/cities have elderly vaccination coverage above the national average, currently recorded at 61.59 percent as of Wednesday, January 11, 2023.

The top five regencies/cities with elderly vaccination rates exceeding 120.26 percent are Padang Panjang City, Solok City, South Jakarta City, Garut, and Yogyakarta City, with values of 298.17 percent, 187.62 percent, 128.61 percent, 122.06 percent, and 120.26 percent, respectively.

A national Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in elderly vaccination in most regencies/cities outside Java. Daily elderly vaccination rates higher than previous days were recorded in 113 regencies/cities, while three regencies/cities recorded lower elderly vaccination rates.

Some of the areas outside Java with the highest elderly vaccination rates include Padang Panjang City, Solok City, and Pariaman City, with elderly vaccination rates of 298.17 percent, 187.62 percent, and 119.6 percent, respectively.

Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
