The Indonesian government continues to intensify its nationwide vaccination program. As of Thursday, August 12, 2021, 52,027,456 people in Indonesia have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine. A further 26,144,162 people have received the second dose.
However, these figures represent only 25% of the target of 208,265,720 people for the first dose and 12.6% for the second dose. 1,607,284 healthcare workers have received the first dose (109.4% of the target), and 1,481,324 have received the second dose (100.9% of the target).
Furthermore, 26,759,728 public workers have received the first dose (154.4% of the target), while 15,054,515 have received the second dose (86.9% of the target).
For the elderly, 4,987,862 have received the first dose and 3,402,777 the second dose, representing 23.1% and 15.8% of the target respectively. Among the general public, 16,322,823 people have received the first dose (11.6% of the target), and 5,660,410 have received the second dose (4% of the target).
Children aged 12-17 are now also eligible for the Covid-19 vaccine. 2,349,219 have received the first dose (8.8% of the target), and 545,136 have received the second dose (2% of the target).
