Education is a crucial aspect for any nation in creating superior human resources and improving the welfare of its people.
According to an Ipsos survey, 33% of respondents across the globe rated the quality of education in their country as good. Conversely, 36% stated that the quality of education in their country was still poor.
Ipsos data indicates that Indonesia ranks 5th globally in terms of perceived good quality of education, with 53% of Indonesian respondents expressing this view.
Singapore holds the top spot, with 75% of respondents considering the quality of education in their country to be good.
This is followed by Ireland (63%), and Australia (57%), where a similar percentage of respondents expressed positive views on their respective education systems.
Other countries with a perceived good quality of education include India, Canada, the United Kingdom, Thailand, the United States, and the Netherlands, with percentages as shown in the graph.
Conversely, Hungary was rated as having the worst quality of education globally, at 8%. Peru and Chile followed with 10% and 11%, respectively.
This survey involved 23,248 respondents across 29 countries between June 23rd and July 7th, 2023. In Indonesia, respondents were aged between 21 and 74 years old.
