The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 56 districts/cities with a Covid-19 death rate above the national average, currently recorded at 0.03 deaths per 100,000 population per week, data as of Friday, August 5, 2022.
The five districts/cities with the highest number of Covid-19 deaths, exceeding 0.58 deaths per 100,000 population per week, are Gianyar, Klungkung, Bangli, Bintan, and West Seram, with respective values of 1.14 deaths per 100,000 population per week, 1.1 deaths per 100,000 population per week, 0.87 deaths per 100,000 population per week, 0.6 deaths per 100,000 population per week, and 0.58 deaths per 100,000 population per week, respectively.
The national Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows that the number of Covid-19 deaths in most districts/cities outside Java has decreased. A higher than previous daily Covid-19 death rate was recorded in three districts/cities, while six districts/cities recorded a lower number of Covid-19 deaths.
Areas outside Java with the highest number of Covid-19 deaths include Gianyar, Klungkung, and Bangli, with respective death rates of 1.14 deaths per 100,000 population per week, 1.1 deaths per 100,000 population per week, and 0.87 deaths per 100,000 population per week.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
