The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 184 districts/cities with a seven-day positivity rate above the national average, currently recorded at 4.83 percent (data as of Sunday, September 11, 2022).
The top five districts/cities with a seven-day positivity rate exceeding 27.27 percent are Banggai Kepulauan (46.15 percent), Kepulauan Mentawai (33.33 percent), Tomohon City (32 percent), Tegal City (28.75 percent), and Barito Timur (27.27 percent).
A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows that the seven-day positivity rate in most districts/cities outside Java has decreased. A daily seven-day positivity rate higher than the previous day was recorded in 123 districts/cities, while 129 districts/cities recorded a lower seven-day positivity rate.
Some of the areas outside Java with the highest seven-day positivity rates include Banggai Kepulauan (46.15 percent), Kepulauan Mentawai (33.33 percent), and Tomohon City (32 percent).
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
