Several districts/cities in West Papua Province still record quite low second-dose vaccination rates compared to other regions. Some of these districts/cities include Sorong City.
As of today, the vaccination program has only completed 102,900 second doses out of the targeted 203,420 vaccine recipients.
Sorong City is ranked first in terms of low vaccination rates. As of yesterday, the second-dose vaccination in this region has reached only 50.59%. This is the lowest rate compared to other districts/cities. Meanwhile, the first-dose vaccination has reached 68.17%, covering 253,960 vaccine recipients.
The vaccination program in this district/city targets 203,420 participants. According to the Ministry of Health's data, the average vaccination rate last week in Sorong City was zero participants. The current vaccine stock is 14,638 doses.
At the provincial level, the total first-dose vaccination in West Papua has reached 61.93%, covering 493,860 vaccine recipients. The second-dose vaccination has reached 43.02%, covering 343,000 vaccine recipients.
