Kopi Kenangan's Outlet Count Surpassed Starbucks in Indonesia in 2024

According to a report by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Kopi Kenangan has 872 outlets in 2024.

Its number of outlets surpasses Starbucks, as well as other modern restaurant/beverage chain outlets that are among the top 10 best-selling in Indonesia.

The USDA noted that Kopi Kenangan's outlet count in 2024 increased by four units compared to 2023. This local coffee chain has also expanded its market reach to Southeast Asia and Oceania.

"This growth reflects their aggressive expansion strategy and strong market momentum," the USDA stated in its report Indonesia: Food Service - Hotel Restaurant Institutional Annual.

Here is the complete list of the number of outlets owned by the top 10 best-selling modern restaurants/beverage chains in Indonesia in 2024:

1. Kopi Kenangan: 872 outlets
2. KFC: 725 outlets
3. Pizza Hut: 593 outlets
4. Chatime: 466 outlets
5. Hokben: 397 outlets
6. Starbucks: 324 outlets
7. McDonald's: 322 outlets
8. Richeese: 277 outlets
9. Champ Resto Indonesia: 271 outlets
10. Mie Gacoan: 259 outlets

Notably, Champ Resto Indonesia is a restaurant chain that operates 8 brands, namely Raa Cha, Gokana, BMK, Platinum, Chopstix, Monsieur Spoon, Dewata by Monsieur Spoon, and Croco by Monsieur Spoon.
