Prevalence of E-cigarette Users in Indonesian Provinces as of March 2025

A report from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) shows that in March 2025, 1.22% of Indonesia's population aged 15 and above used e-cigarettes or vapes in the last month.

When reviewed by residential category, urban areas have a larger proportion of e-cigarette users, with 1.38% of the total e-cigarette users, while rural areas account for 0.98%.

"This indicates easier access to e-cigarette products in urban areas," BPS wrote in its report Health Statistics Profile 2025.

In March 2025, Bali became the province with the highest percentage of e-cigarette users globally, reaching 2.24%, almost double the national average.

Meanwhile, the province with the lowest proportion of e-cigarette consumers was Southeast Sulawesi, at only 0.21%.
