A report from the Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) compiles the number and condition of health facilities (faskes) in Aceh, North Sumatra (Sumut), and West Sumatra (Sumbar). It is known that these three provinces have been affected by ecological disasters of floods and landslides since November 25, 2025.
North Sumatra recorded the highest number of health facilities with 188 hospitals (RS), 350 community health centers (Puskesmas), and 1,017 auxiliary community health centers (Pustu). Based on Kemenkes data as of December 6, 2025, several health facilities in this province are incapacitated, including:
- South Tapanuli: 2 auxiliary community health centers, 1 village maternity clinic (Polindes) unable to operate
- Central Tapanuli: 3 community health centers and 1 auxiliary community health center unable to operate
- Langkat: 1 hospital and 1 community health center unable to operate.
Meanwhile, West Sumatra has 74 hospitals, 237 community health centers, and 719 auxiliary community health centers. West Sumatra is the only province where all health facilities are fully operational.
Lastly, Aceh has 65 hospitals (RS), 309 community health centers, and 697 auxiliary community health centers.
Aceh is the region with the most severe impact of health facility damage compared to North Sumatra and West Sumatra. The following are the regencies/cities in Aceh with the number of damaged health facilities:
- Aceh Tamiang: 2 hospitals and 13 community health centers unable to operate
- North Aceh: 1 hospital and 15 community health centers unable to operate
- East Aceh: 3 hospitals and 8 community health centers unable to operate
- Central Aceh: 1 community health center unable to operate
- Southeast Aceh: 1 community health center unable to operate
- Bireuen: 5 community health centers unable to operate.
