According to data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), there were approximately 31 million Indonesian residents classified as early childhood (0-6 years old) in March 2025.

Of these, 70.71% lived with household members (ART) who smoke, whether tobacco or e-cigarettes.

Meanwhile, in the poor household group (bottom 40%), the proportion was the highest, at 74.15%.

BPS also found that the percentage of early childhood children in rural areas living with smoking household members reached 75.86%, while in urban areas it was lower, at 67.10%.
